The Spring Garden in January

The sun was shining warmly, between showers, and I couldn't
resist the call to go out and play in the dirt!
The afternoon was spent tidying up the Spring garden
along with....

my gardening crew!

Upon discovering this...
one thinks, "Can spring be far behind?"

Our chickens have been "allowed" into the garden over the past week or so too - good little workers!
I too noticed a bit of red from the rhubarb popping up - yeah!

Blessings!

Your girls are cute! I am hoping one day to have some chickens too!

I can't believe that you already have Rhubarb poking up! Ours in under at least 3 feet of snow. It won't be planting season until after Memorial Day here :(
Have a blessed day Raeann!!!

Oh I love having bloggy friends in the South!! What joy to see dry ground (and I love seeing your chickens too)!

Up here in the North no sign of warm weather for a long time-- we haven't seen the ground since early Dec.

So thanks for sharing your beautiful signs of Spring with me!!:)

Wow... it really does look like spring around your place. My Gramma lived in Bellingham, WA and she always had beautiful gardens. I wish sometimes we lived in the northwest. New England becomes oppressive this time of year unless we have lots of fresh snow... which we're getting more of as I type this comment.

Our chickens don't come out of their coop much in the winter. The days are just as cold as night and almost as dark, so they stay where it's warm. Lots of eggs though :)

God bless...

Oh my! Thanks so much for the picture. I think this is rhubarb. Am I correct? Mine is buried under about 2 ft. of snow right now, however it is good to see yours popping out of the ground. Come visit me on my blog when you can, especially if you like snow pictures.
