I was in need of some.
A walk deep into the woodland
yielded the shady tree dweller
that I was seeking.
This bit of mossyness was
out of my reach.
Now, with my coffers filled,
we return to assemble my conception.
that cried out for some flowers.
I obliged!
added some rich loamy soil mix...
tucking the moss lined tiers full to overflowing
of the cheery blooms.
while collecting the moss. We live in an area named

Your baskets are beautiful...You've inspired me to look for moss in the woods behind my house. Linda
Oh, I just love this idea! I have some old wire milk delivery baskets I found on my grandpa's farm. They would be perfect for this. I just hope I can find enough moss to fill them! Thanks for sharing this. :)
Love the moss! Gorgeous pics!
No moss like that around here:( We have some itty bitty spots of moss in the shady areas under the pines, but that's it....
I love the idea, tho...the flowers are beautiful!
So very pretty!
Dear Lady Farmer,
What a wonderful thing, to have your own "moss factory" so close at hand. The agate egg is a true treasure, too.
Love,
Marqueta
Ohhhhhh, that is beautiful! Now I know why people are raiding the mountains for moss.
Not you, I didn't mean YOU...drats, I don't even have to leave the room to get into trouble.
I was visiting Aunt Esther this past weekend and someone went by with a Loaded truck and trailer with sacks and sacks. I thought it was trash and asked my cousin but he said it was moss. We couldn't imagine why but now I know...thank you!
